Parma Ham doesn’t just taste delicious, it’s good for us too. The strict production regulations of the Parma Ham Consortium forbid the use of chemical substances, preservatives or other additives. Consumers can be sure that only two ingredients are used: the high quality meat of large Italian pigs and a pinch of salt.
 
The Parma Ham Consortium ensures strict observance of production specifications to guarantee the consumer a wholly natural product, made using traditional working methods.  The Consortium’s logo – the five pointed ducal crown – is a genuine stamp of quality.
